Gnomes -
Basically
the same in appearance as dwarves, gnomes talk very fast
(sothattheirsentencesstarttolooklikethis), and, in fact, can talk and listen at
the same time. Gnomes are given names which describe everything which every
previous member of their family has done (thus, never ask a gnome what his full
name is). At birth, each gnome is given a life quest, which they spend their
whole life trying to accomplish. This usually doesn't work very well, because no
invention a gnome might make will ever work. Besides, if a gnome's inventions do
work, he is generally considered insane by the remainder of the gnome community.
Gnomes live in Mount Nevermind, on the isle of Sancrist.
